How to Prepare for NUST NET
A focused NET prep plan built around the test's actual weightage Mathematics first, then Physics, then English rather than spreading effort evenly across subjects.
Prioritise by weightage, not by comfort
Mathematics carries 50% of the Engineering & Computing paper, Physics 30%, and English 20%. Spend your revision time roughly in that proportion rather than defaulting to whichever subject feels most comfortable a strong Mathematics score does more for your NET percentage than the equivalent effort in English.
Practice under real timing
At 180 minutes for 200 questions, you have about 54 seconds per question on average. Since there's no negative marking, never leave a question blank attempt everything, flag uncertain ones, and use any remaining time to revisit them rather than double checking answers you're already confident in.
Revise from HSSC textbooks first
NET questions are built on the FBISE HSSC Part I and Part II curriculum, so your existing FSc textbooks and notes are the most relevant preparation material available more directly useful than generic aptitude test prep books. Layer in SAT style English comprehension practice and timed MCQ drills once your subject content is solid.
