Matric & FSc Percentage Calculator
Before you can work out your NUST aggregate, you need clean Matric and FSc percentages. Here's exactly how boards calculate them, plus the quick formula you can do by hand.
The basic percentage formula
Percentage = (Obtained marks ÷ Total marks) × 100.
For Matric, total marks are usually 1100 across all Pakistani boards (some older schemes use 1050). For FSc, NUST only counts Part 1 marks, which are typically out of 550 (half of the 1100 total intermediate scheme) check your board's result card for the exact total, since a small number of boards use different totals.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Using FSc Part 1 + Part 2 combined instead of Part 1 alone NUST only wants Part 1 for the aggregate.
- Using the wrong "total marks" denominator always check your own board's result card rather than assuming 1100 for every component.
- Rounding too early keep at least two decimal places until the final aggregate step to avoid small errors compounding.
